When you launch the application you are greeted with the Dashboard view of the last sport you visited. All the key data about that sport is immediately visible, including schedule with results, last/live game score, and the latest scrolling news headlines. You can scroll through the schedule by flicking the dial and tap on a game for a pop-up that contains more details. From there you can purchase tickets or set a game reminder. Tickets are purchased without leaving the application, and the game reminder will popup on your screen just like a text message 1 hour before the game starts. (it is not required that you have the application open to see the notification)
When a live home game in one of the 7 supported sports (Football, M/W Basketball, Baseball, Softball, Volleyball, and Soccer) is active the option appears to watch the game stats live. You will first find the scoreboard view which includes basic information and live scrolling play-by-play that updates automatically. You can tap the details button to drill down into the live complete box-score, watch as the numbers update automatically while you browse. Our technology allows us to provide these stats directly from the press box or court side at the game, typically arriving just 15 seconds after a play has completed. When there is not a live game review results and complete box-score archives.
Navigate headlines for each sport with the flick of your finger. Drill down into stories with Photos and tap the headline to read the story on official the team website. The interface is fast as stories are stored on your iPhone/iPod Touch, meaning only new stories have to be downloaded each time.
Provide your customers with discounts and specials based on their location. For example, you find yourself looking for a bite to eat after the game, use the GPS based coupon finder to locate sponsors with food and drink specials. You can map them based on your location, and call or map driving/walking directions to redeem the offer. Promotions can range from food to furniture and provide a highly targeting and trackable inventory item to market to sponsors.
Mini Games
Encourage your fans to use your application all day long with engaging branded mini-games. Starting with "Rush Challenge" an addictive labyrinth style game using your iPhone/iPod Touch's tilt tracking technology. You direct your running back through a maze of defenders and try reach the endzone in under 4 downs (lives). Your high scores are recorded and you can submit them to compete with everyone for the top 10 list. The games can also be tied into the in-game experience by encouraging fans to play during timeouts and having their top scores displayed on the videoboard, much like the "sports bar" experience.
In order to foster community and encourage fans to spend more time inside the application outside of gameday we included chat. There is one chat area for each sport. All can view the conversation without logging in, but to participate you are required to register an account. All user data is fully accessible by the client. Chat is automatically moderated via a word and user blacklist, as well as a community flagging system. Users can flag inappropriate text, and it will automatically delete after a set number of flags (This is similar to how Facebook and Youtube control inappropriate content).
Notifications
Using the same push notification technology as the game reminders you are able to send direct targeted messages to your fans at no additional cost per message. For example, through your admin website you could send a coach hiring announcement to all users with women's basketball selected. Or blast parking information to all users with football turned on. The messages pops up on the users phone instantly (like a text message) guaranteeing your fans undivided attention.
Customize your application experience by setting sport preferences, turn on/off each sport to show/hide it from your menu. Preferences are saved with your user account and can sync with other websites and applications. You can also register a new account as well as store your username and password for automatic login.
